Our office, Custom Endodontics - Bismarck, is seeking a talented Dental Assistant to join our busy specialty practice. We are looking for a talented and skilled Dental Assistant to help us accomplish our mission to improve the lives of our patients by providing a world-class specialty experience for every patient. Responsibilities

  • Ensure excellent patient service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the Dentist’s shoulders.
  • Focus on ensuring that the patients' needs, concerns, and questions are answered.
  • Help keep the patient relaxed and comfortable during their visit.
  • Welcome patients to the dental office.
  • Prepare patients for treatment, ensuring their comfort.
  • Select and set up instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Sterilize instruments according to regulations.
  • Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry.
  • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
  • Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked.
  • Schedule appointments and post-op visits.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Assist with payment procedures.
  • Facilitate/coordinate other office responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years of proven experience as dental assistant, specialty is preferred.
  • Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
  • Understanding of health & safety regulations.
  • Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • A strong attention to detail.
  • Well-organized and reliable.
  • A high school diploma.
  • A certificate from an accredited dental assistant program (if required by law).
  • An active state radiology license (if required by law).
