Requirements

• Dental Assisting Certification or prior on the job training.
• 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates.
• CPR Certification required.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Commitment to providing exceptional service, support, and education to patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors and Hygienists.
• Charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.
• Record and review patient health history, make chart entries under the doctor's direction.
• Assure completion of forms and signatures in dental software.
• Review the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
• Prepare patients, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays.
• Maintain chain of asepsis, prepare materials, and assist dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
• Expose and develop dental diagnostic radiographs.
• Follow OSHA regulations and safety requirements including compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.
