About The Position
The position involves preparing patients for dental work and assisting dentists during various procedures. Responsibilities include infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, and preparing materials. The dental assistant will also assist in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary, provide great patient care, and record treatment information in patient records. Additional duties include exposing dental x-rays, giving patients information on dental hygiene, collecting medical histories, providing postoperative instructions, caring for dental equipment, and maintaining inventory of dental supplies.
