About The Position

Join our dedicated team at Gundersen Health System as a Dental Assistant in our Prosthodontic team! Gundersen Health System is a physician-led enterprise recognized for delivering high-quality healthcare services across Wisconsin. We are looking for a Dental Assistant with prior experience, someone who is a motivated and skilled individual to provide exceptional support to our dental professionals and ensure a positive experience for our patients. Work closely with a Maxillofacial Prosthodontist on bridges, dentures, crowns, and specialized facial prosthetics; the role offers strong opportunities for learning and growth within a highly procedural, hands‑on prosthodontic environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years of work experience in a dental practice
• CPR for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working in electronic patient records (example Epic) is preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Manage a daily caseload of 4–8 patients
• Assist providers during longer prosthodontic procedures
• Perform intraoral imaging and scanning
• Seat temporary crowns
• Take impressions
• Handle documentation in EPIC
• Scribe for clinicians
• Prep rooms
• Sterilize instruments
• Support basic lab work such as pouring impressions
• Answer MyChart messages
• Maintain smooth workflow throughout the clinic
