Dr. Linda Showaihat, D.D.S. is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to join our patient-centered and dynamic team in San Mateo, CA. Our practice is dedicated to providing exceptional dental care services, and we are looking for an experienced individual who can contribute to our mission. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental assisting and be able to support our hygienists and dentists in delivering high-quality care to our patients. This position offers flexible part-time hours, primarily on Mondays, Wednesdays, and potentially Thursdays and Fridays, allowing for a work-life balance while being part of a fun and talented practice. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for a variety of essential duties that include chairside assisting, sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment, performing digital X-rays, and preparing treatment rooms and trays. You will also be involved in fabricating temporary crowns and bridges, taking alginate impressions, and assisting with the adjustment of permanent crowns prior to final cementation. Effective communication with both the dental team and patients is crucial, as is ensuring compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations. You will also be tasked with stocking supplies in operatories and other areas as needed, along with other job-related tasks assigned by the supervising dentist. This role requires a warm, calm, and caring personality, as well as a positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team environment. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting are essential for success in this position.
