About The Position

DENTAL ASSISTANT - INSTRUCTOR - PART TIME - 4 MORNINGS/WEEK We are looking for experienced DA's to become fully trained instructors to work year round scheduled morning 18-23 hours/week. We are also looking for unscheduled substitutes & teaching assistants for morning and evening classes. Please let us know your availability. Morning classes M-TH 8:30-1, Evening classes M-TH 5:30-10 Have you ever thought about teaching? We are looking for experienced Dental Assistants to become fully trained instructors to teach year round classes as Primary Scheduled Instructors and Secondary Instructors ready to step in as needed for teaching assistant and substitutes as needed. Dental Assistant Instructor duties include: Teach in the Dental Assisting classroom with 10-20 students, covering clinical and administrative skills. Learning the material and delivering lectures and demonstrations, working from the Ross lesson plans and curriculum. Class sessions are 4.5 hours in either day or evening sessions. Requirements

3+ years' experience in the field and a national certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA from AMT) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA from DANB) and formal training in a dental assisting program like Ross. If you do not have the formal education, you can also qualify with 5+ years' experience in the field and a national certification. additional requirements or exceptions may be applicable based on the state, program, and accreditation requirements
Interest in teaching or prior experience
Must be flexible and have a passion to learn and grow

Responsibilities

Teach in the Dental Assisting classroom with 10-20 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
