Requirements

• High school graduate or GED required
• One year’s experience as a dental assistant or one year of dental assisting school required
• Certification in Dental Radiology in the state of Pennsylvania

Responsibilities

• Assisting the dentist and hygienists with procedures
• Preparation and sterilization of instruments/equipment
• Capturing radiographs
• Providing knowledge of oral hygiene instruction/education to patients
• Maintaining patient records
• Inventory
• Ensuring tidiness of treatment areas
• Maintaining patient flow
• Reception
• Assisting the rest of the dental team in expediting patient care whenever possible
• Performing other duties as assigned
