About The Position

Arrow Dental Clinic is currently seeking a full-time Dental Assistant in our Scappoose, Oregon clinic. This position will assist the dentist in providing dental treatment and supports dental care delivery by preparing the treatment room, patient, instruments, and materials. The Dental Assistant will be responsible for passing instruments and materials, performing procedures in compliance with the dental practice act, and ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality of care provided to our patients and ensuring their comfort during treatment. The position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of $3,000, reflecting our commitment to attracting skilled professionals to our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will prepare the treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols. You will also prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping them appropriately. Providing information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests is also a key part of this role. You will be responsible for providing instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area, positioning instruments for the dentist's access, suctioning, and passing instruments as needed. Additionally, you will provide diagnostic information by exposing radiograph studies and maintaining patient appearance by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning removable appliances. The role also involves educating patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative instructions. You will document dental hygiene services by charting in patient records and maintain patient confidentiality. Ensuring a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations is essential. You will also be responsible for maintaining dental supplies inventory and ensuring the operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions.
