Requirements

• Valid EFDA Certification is required.
• Up-to-date BLS/CPR certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of experience in dental assisting is preferred.
• Computer skills and experience with dental software and updating patient histories are needed.

Nice To Haves

• 2 or more years of dental practice experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and document vital signs and update the medical history for patients.
• Prepare and lay out sterilized equipment, dental instruments, anesthetics, dental supplies, and materials inside treatment rooms for examinations and dental procedures.
• Greet patients and explain dental care treatment plans to ensure they feel comfortable during the appointment.
• Provide postoperative instructions and methods for infection control of the patients' teeth and gums after procedures, answering any questions they may have about dental hygiene, and scheduling follow-up appointments.
• Assist dentists and dental hygienists during procedures or examinations by providing suction, handing off dental instruments, and ensuring chair-side accessibility to the team.
