Dental Assistant (EFDA I-II-III) Site Location: West Salem Clinic - Dental | 1233 Edgewater St NW Position Status: Full-time Hours: Monday - Thursday | 7:30am - 5:30pm Salary: DOE DA I - $20.85 - $26.05 - $31.25 DA II - $22.75 - $28.45 - $34.15 DA III - $25.05 - $31.30 - $37.55 Sign-on Bonus: $2000 (Internal candidates that are currently employed here at NWHS are not eligible for a sign-on bonus.) Referral Bonus: $500 (Referral bonus' expire at the close of this job posting) YOUR ROLE: Come join our Dental team! As an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) you will assist the Dentist in examining and treating patients and become part of a strong and positive team focused on helping others.

Requirements

  • Certified EFDA
  • X-ray certified

Nice To Haves

  • One-year dental assisting experience preferred
  • English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assists dentists or dental hygienist in transfer of instruments utilizing standard dental assisting principles. Including "4 handed" dentistry in preparation and delivering dental materials and instruments.
  • Take digital radiographs to assist in oral evaluation and treatment planning.
  • Follow established protocols for disinfecting and sterilizing operatories and dental instruments.
  • Promotes teamwork and fosters cooperation among dental staff. Creates a patient centered environment in which we make all attempts necessary to schedule and treat patients in a timely manner.
  • Takes vital signs and reviews and updates patient history as directed. Lays out appropriate instruments for procedures and provides emergency evaluation of patients when necessary.
  • Restocks the rooms as necessary.
  • Represents the Agency in the community.
