This position is for a dental assistant within the Federal Government, specifically serving various locations in Montana.   • Assist in dental procedures by providing chairside assistance to the dentist.
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and supply levels of the dental station.

  • Operate dental X-ray equipment and develop radiographs.
  • Instruct patients on preventive dental care and proper oral hygiene techniques.
  • Schedule and route patients for services as required.
  • Must have completed a dental assistant program or a dental hygiene program accredited by the American Dental Association.
  • Experience in dental assistance to general or specialized dentistry.
  • Ability to perform duties as outlined in the job description.
  • Must meet the credentialing standards in 42 CFR Part 75.
  • Experience with radiologic procedures.
  • Certification as a radiographer.
  • Experience in a federal healthcare setting.
