About The Position
As a member of the Dental Department at Urban Health Plan, we are seeking dedicated Dental Assistants who will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our team. The Dental Assistants will provide essential chairside support to both Pediatric and General Dentistry, enabling our Dentists to deliver efficient and high-quality care to our patients. This position involves hands-on support and preparation work, allowing Dentists to perform their tasks at maximum speed and efficiency. The Dental Assistants will be responsible for a variety of key duties, including assisting the Dentist with routine procedures, preparing treatment rooms and tray setups for dental providers, taking digital X-rays and impressions, ordering dental supplies, and maintaining inventory. Additionally, they will complete infection control sterilization of all equipment and instruments, schedule appointments, maintain the reception area, and distribute patient educational materials as needed. This role is vital in ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care in a supportive and organized environment.
