Nice To Haves

• Completion of a recognized one-year dental assistant training program.
• Experience working with the public in a dental setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists in general and specialized treatment of patients.
• Prepare and arrange dental instruments, materials, and equipment for procedures.
• Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of instruments according to CDC standards.
• Receive and seat patients, updating their medical history and explaining treatment plans.
• Secure informed consent for special procedures.
• Expose and process radiographs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of bloodborne pathogen standards and handle hazardous materials according to OSHA guidelines.
• Fabricate temporary crowns, perform coronal polishing, remove sutures, and apply fluoride treatments and sealants as directed by the dentist.
• Provide basic oral hygiene instructions and maintain inventory of dental supplies.
• Ensure accurate tool control in accordance with institutional security practices.
• Provide quality customer service and maintain professional communication.
