About The Position

The Denial Analyst will oversee and drive the Denial Management Reduction Initiatives and identify areas for continued process improvements that will further decrease new denials, final write off denials, and prebill denials. Work with CFOs, Revenue Cycle Management and other Directors on process improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills required
• 5 Years of Clinical, Medical Records, or Patient Financial experience required
• Advance proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other data mining software
• Knowledge of Medical billing, collection practices, CPT, HCPCS and IC10 Coding
• Understand Medicare & Medical assistance regulations as needed
• Good verbal communication skills in English/Spanish
• Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.
• Bachelors in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
• Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement for example: hospital revenue cycle experience i.e., billing, collections, appeals, verification of benefits, coding, etc.
