About The Position

The position of Demolition Superintendent has the direct responsibility for personnel, equipment, scheduling, safety, quality of workmanship, and completion of assigned projects on time. Operating since 1983, the Smith-Rowe Team has grown and developed into a formidable construction company. Our organization employs teams with capabilities in structures, grading, utilities, storm drain, retaining walls, sound walls, signage, demolition, crushing, logging, clearing and grubbing and marine construction.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of bridge construction means and methods.
• Experience with Pile Driving, Concrete Forming, Steel or Concrete Beam Erection.
• Ability to read and interpret CPM Schedules.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• CDL license.
• Experience in managing demolition operations.
• Knowledge of environmental impacts and restrictions associated with demolition work.

Responsibilities

• Manage personnel, equipment, scheduling, safety, and quality of workmanship.
• Ensure completion of assigned projects on time.
• Oversee the maintenance and inspection of chains, rigging, torch units, drills, radios, saws, and demolition equipment.
• Coordinate repairs and routine maintenance of equipment.
• Develop daily and weekly plans for projects.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, contractors, and office personnel.
• Train and instruct team members in demolition operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and company policies.
