Providence Place of Lancaster is seeking to recruit a dynamic, compassionate and experienced Memory Support Program Director who is able to manage the daily operations of the secured Memory Support neighborhood and assist residents in activities of daily living and participation in a quality Memory Support Program. Other duties include, but not limited to: hiring, onboarding, coaching and performance reviews of co-workers, overall care of residents, care plans and needs, and ongoing training and education regarding Alzheimer's and dementia for all coworkers at the community. Salary starting at $60,000- $70,000 Critical Success Factors: Communication skills that include empathetic, exquisite listening skills and appropriate referrals to other sources when needed. This includes the ability to clearly communicate goal-oriented intentions and directions to co-workers. Displays an ability to adapt and be flexible enough to adjust and make changes in the program or approaches to best meet the residents’ needs, especially under emergency situation. Exhibits organizational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to handle multiple demands / tasks concurrently. Demonstrated skill in or willingness to learn about interviewing, selecting, training, supervising, disciplining, coaching, and evaluating co-workers. Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of the older person including a willingness to learn about Validation techniques and various therapeutic communication approaches.
