Requirements

  • Must have prior experience caring for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to client care.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in healthcare is a plus.
  • Must pass background checks and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate care and support to clients with dementia in their homes.
  • Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Monitor and document clients' health and behavior changes.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities to stimulate cognitive function.
  • Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure a safe and clean living environment for clients.
  • Administer medications and manage care plans as directed.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
