About The Position

The Demand/Supply Planning Manager at Whitmore Manufacturing is responsible for optimizing inventory levels and integrating various factors such as sales forecasts, production planning, and customer requirements. This role involves building statistical demand forecast models, leading a planning and scheduling team, and implementing inventory management processes to achieve accuracy targets. The manager will also make recommendations on planning parameters and lead new supply chain projects.

Requirements

  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Full understanding of Supply Chain IT systems with in-depth knowledge of JD Edwards or comparable MRP systems
  • Expert user skills in Excel and other relevant reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Problem solving/analysis, technical capacity, communication proficiency, decision making, and collaboration skills are a must
  • High energy and superb communication skills with the ability to influence and drive actions
  • Experience leading a team
  • Bachelor's degree requiring analytical and quantitative skills
  • Minimum 5 years of relatable experience in Supply Chain, Data Analytics or Manufacturing Environment

Responsibilities

  • Help optimize inventory levels by integrating sales forecasts, production planning, customer requirements, lead times and working capital restrictions.
  • Build statistical demand forecast models and collaborate with the sales team to publish a comprehensive demand plan.
  • Collect, verify, and analyze statistical sales, planning, procurement, inventory, and warehousing data to support the monthly S&OP Meeting and process.
  • Responsible for leading and managing planning and scheduling team, identifying key areas of opportunity, building and leading strategic goals.
  • Implementation and improvement of inventory management processes to achieve desired inventory accuracy targets.
  • Make recommendations on planning parameters in JD Edwards including safety stock, MOQs, EOQs, Lead times & ABC classifications.
  • Lead new supply chain and MRP projects.
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
