About The Position

This position is responsible for supporting regional market managers and the director of demand management in overseeing the supply and demand of our products across the plant network within designated geographic regions. This role requires close collaboration with Sales, Manufacturing, Demand Forecasters, Supply Chain Planning Managers, Product Marketing, Logistics, Master Data Governance, and the Customer Service Center to optimize profitability, volume, and market share. The position currently offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring four days in the office each week.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or marketing is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years' professional experience in Sales, Demand Management, or Marketing functions within the building materials industry is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including proven ability to collaborate with staff across Sales, Manufacturing, Logistics, Master Data Governance, and Customer Service Center departments.
  • Advanced proficiency in computer skills, specifically in Excel, Power BI, and Business Intelligence tools, is required.
  • Strong analytical skills necessary for market, customer, and company plant network analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with regional market managers to implement sales strategies across various customer channels and business units within assigned Sales Areas.
  • Support and analyze plant distribution plans, including screen footage and rail allocation, for gypsum wallboard and related products in coordination with the regional market managers.
  • Maintain the Area/channel allocation for all business units within Power BI to ensure consistent messaging around plant allocation screens.
  • Produce and support changes to price policy issues, working closely with sales management.
  • Maintain the price master for each area in Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and relevance.
  • Assist in the administration and maintenance of price policies and product policies through the sales policy tool.
  • Develop and produce required BI reports as directed by the director of demand management.
  • Work with regional market managers on master data governance to oversee plant product information, SKU management, and new Customer Service MDG product requests.
  • Assist with general program administration as directed.
  • Support efforts within Sales & Operations Planning to provide market forecast information through the Consensus Demand Planning process for SCPM's.
  • Attend quarterly RSIOP planning sessions and other meetings as needed.
  • Collaborate with the logistics department on Network Optimization utilizing forecasting optimization tools to update primary shipping areas for wallboard, IFP, and PermaBase plants.
  • Maintain macroeconomic data on the demand SharePoint site and keep economic PowerPoint presentations up to date.
  • Support senior leadership in the demand department as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
