About The Position

Build your clean energy career in one of the largest demand response teams in the country! Con Edison's demand response team is hiring an operations manager. The demand response team manages dispatchable distributed energy resources (including curtailment and generation) that are located at customer facilities to reduce the demand on the electric grid on the hottest days of the year. The Program Manager is responsible for managing a segment of the Company's demand response programs and overseeing the operations, administration, budget, performance analysis, reporting, and process improvement of the program. The Program Manager will partner with other demand response teams to support the design and marketing of the program. The Program Manager is responsible for overall implementation and performance of the program to achieve program performance targets. The Operations Manager will have full responsibility of managing Con Edison's Bring Your Own Thermostat program, which has over 20,000 residential customers enrolled and is dispatched during the hottest days of the year to support the grid, when demand is at its highest. The Operations Manager will also have responsibility for implementing and administering new programs, as well as collaborating with our strategy team on the design of such programs, which may include Bring Your Own Battery program, targeting small energy storage systems in primarily residential homes, and a future gas demand response program that will reduce demand on the gas system during the winter. This is a great role to demonstrate your ability to drive results, apply cross-disciplinary skills to the clean energy space, and gain firsthand experience with the clean energy transition.
