About The Position
At Avnet, we are seeking a dedicated individual to oversee a team engaged in supply chain functions, including customer, solution, and inventory planning and management. This role is crucial in mitigating risks and enabling profitability while working closely with company and partner leadership to support and develop the business group's strategy and financial goals. The successful candidate will engage in building and leveraging supplier relationships to create and align supply chain and operations accountability. This position provides oversight and direction regarding assigned team, financial, and operational activities, ensuring that all processes align with the company's objectives. The role involves analyzing customer forecasts and trends using Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) concepts, collaborating with customers and sales to plan and buy according to forecasted requirements. You will manage the review of inventory supply constraints, communicate resolutions, and participate in follow-on activities to ensure compliance with commitments to our customers. Additionally, you will oversee aged and excess inventory visibility, root cause analysis, and corrective actions, while managing the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. As a leader, you will ensure that all model metrics and measurements are met and that appropriate reporting requirements are adhered to according to contractual terms and conditions. You will also manage the resolutions process to correct problems and enhance improvements associated with supply and inventory flow. This role requires project management skills to set up and maintain programs, including part profiles, new part additions, End of Life (EOL) transitions, and model changes, while recommending modifications to enhance efficiency and revenue. Coaching and managing your team to support negotiations with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders is essential. You will create, develop, and support planning processes and tools, while also developing the planning organization’s demand planning talent and aligning workload to maximize performance and people development. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
