As a Demand Planning Manager at Avnet, you will oversee a team engaged in critical supply chain functions, including customer, solution, and inventory planning and management. Your role will be pivotal in mitigating risks and enabling profitability for the organization. You will collaborate closely with company and partner leadership to support and develop the business group's strategy and financial goals. This position requires you to build and leverage supplier relationships to create and align supply chain operations with accountability. You will provide oversight and direction regarding your assigned team, ensuring that financial and operational activities are executed effectively. In this role, you will analyze customer forecasts and trends using Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) concepts, working alongside customers and sales teams to plan and buy according to forecasted needs. You will manage the process of analyzing customer forecasts and trends for materials, determining the feasibility of forecasted requirements, and reporting forecast models that reflect customer needs to the appropriate internal departments for procurement. Additionally, you will oversee the review of inventory supply constraints, communicate resolutions, and participate in follow-on activities to ensure compliance with commitments to customers. Your responsibilities will also include managing aged and excess inventory visibility, root cause analysis, and corrective actions, as well as overseeing the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. You will ensure that all model metrics and measurements are met and that appropriate reporting requirements are adhered to according to contractual terms and conditions. Furthermore, you will manage the resolution process to correct problems and enhance improvements associated with supply and inventory flow, project manage program setups and maintenance, and coach your team to support negotiations with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders. Ultimately, you will create, develop, and support planning processes and tools while developing the demand planning talent within your organization and aligning workloads to maximize performance and people development. This role is essential in ensuring that the company's goals and objectives align with those of suppliers, achieving mutual success.
