About the position

As a Demand Planning Lead: Process Steward, you'll play an important role at our corporate office based in Oak Brook, IL. You will be responsible for developing and executing demand plans through collaboration with cross-functional teams while leveraging data and insights to align demand forecasts with business objectives, ensuring customer needs are met and optimizing supply chain operations. You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to: Lead the Demand Planning process within the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) framework for assigned categories, ensuring cross-functional alignment on demand plans. Develop and reconcile annual demand plans with business objectives. Capture, analyze, and translate demand signals into forecast inputs in coordination with demand planners. Evaluate demand scenarios with consideration of end-to-end supply chain impacts. Serve as a subject matter expert and trainer for new hires in demand planning. Utilize and maintain demand-planning systems to generate accurate statistical forecasts using established methodologies. Collaborate with Supply Planning, Commercial Planning, and Business Units to optimize balance between market opportunities and supply constraints. Communicate demand forecasts, including consensus demand, upside opportunities, and downside risks, to supply planners and business units.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related field (preferred). APICS certification (preferred but not required).
  • Three to five years of experience in supply chain, production scheduling, material planning, or inventory planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, and SAP/ERP, with the ability to analyze reports and make data-driven decisions.
  • Expertise in leveraging technology, automation, and innovative tools to optimize demand planning, streamline forecasting, and align business practices.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and enhance workflows, success metrics, and documentation while driving standardization and continuous improvement.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, ensuring stakeholder alignment, effective knowledge sharing, and the ability to manage high-pressure situations.
  • Advanced capabilities in data analysis, scenario planning, risk assessment, and algorithm refinement to support strategic decision-making.
  • Experienced in mentoring, training, and transitioning processes to cross-functional teams while managing multi-geography, cross-functional projects for efficiency.
