Job Overview: The Demand Planning Intern will support the team with activities, including but not limited to, analyze shipment data, market trends, and customer forecasts to improve forecast accuracy and inventory management . The internship is estimated to begin towards the middle to end of May 2026 through mid-August 2026.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field.
  • GPA 3.0 plus.
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the US.
  • Strong Proficiency with MS Excel (pivot tables, power queries, formulas).
  • Ability to analyze large data sets, identify patterns, and draw actionable conclusions.
  • Comfortable with iterative, hypothesis-driven analysis.
  • Action-oriented and resilient.

Nice To Haves

  • Data analytics and/or statistics coursework will be a plus.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is often preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and adjusting baseline forecast by SKU/customer/product family (weekly/monthly).
  • Collect, clean, and analyze historical sales and shipment data to identify outliers and propose methods for mass application.
  • Analyze massive datasets to find the correlation among multiple factors and propose creative product/product line re-grouping to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Support new item and phase-in/phase-out forecasting using proxy/analog methods.
  • Monitor inventory levels to help minimize excess stock while ensuring product availability.
  • Produce inventory risk insights (excess/shortage watchlists) and recommend mitigation actions.
  • Support master data audits and reconciliation (hierarchies, UoM, customer-material mapping, lifecycle status).
  • Create visualization dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Update periodical data snapshot in the SharePoint.
