We are looking for a highly motivated, passionate student who can blend his/her studies with hands on experience to add value to the supply chain team. The Demand Planning Intern for Materne North America will be an integral part of the S&OP process. This individual will gain experience on core demand forecasting, data analysis and problem solving. They will observe first-hand how a strong demand plan can make an impact on factory operations, purchasing, downstream supply chain, and overall business growth. This role will help the individual sharpen their analytical and critical thinking capabilities while exposing them to the intricacies of supply chains, market dynamics and customer behavior. This individual will not only have daily responsibilities of a demand planner but will assist in any new reporting and process improvement needs. This individual will get exponential opportunities within a fast-paced and growing company to kick start their experience and career.

Requirements

• Student majoring in supply chain, engineering or business related programs
• Student has completed 2-3 years of undergraduate program
• Prior internship in related field preferred
• Prior work experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong excel skills
• Strong communication skills
• Experience working with teams
• Experience problem solving issues and leading formal solution recommendations
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate and present to senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and input from sales and marketing teams and maintain statistical modelling for key retailers
• Analyze and adjust forecasts regularly to reflect changes in market conditions and business strategies
• Build strong relationships with business teams (Marketing, Sales, Finance) to gather insights that will help build accurate forecasts
• Analysis on shipment data and scan data for retailers that will drive forecast and volume decisions
• Any ad hoc reporting needs to support the demand planning team
