The Demand Planning Analyst at Sleep Number plays a crucial role in the forecasting and planning of various demand streams, including Point-of-Sale, Shipment (Operations), and Parts & Service demand. The analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the forecasts align with the company's strategic goals and operational needs. The role requires a strong analytical mindset, as the analyst will synthesize historical data with current trends and promotional activities to generate accurate forecasts for both new and existing products. In addition to forecasting, the Demand Planning Analyst will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining processes within Anaplan, a key tool used for demand planning. This includes driving new capabilities in the Supply Chain and ensuring that the parameters and logic used by planning tools are up-to-date. The analyst will also be tasked with training other team members on new demand planning processes and outputs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team. The position demands a proactive approach to utilizing advanced models and AI/ML algorithms to improve forecast accuracy. The analyst will monitor and report on key performance indicators related to forecast accuracy and bias, providing insights and recommendations to enhance overall performance.
