About The Position

RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities Responsible for following the demand planning monthly process. Update and maintain the demand forecast with future demand when appropriate. Communicate updates and notable changes. Responsible for forecast accuracy performance of assigned departments. Create ongoing procedural materials, including all SOP’s and work instructions. Responsible for the demand in the MRP process. Maintain and analyze promotional activity on an ongoing basis and report variances when necessary. Data entry and administration of new items and transition items. Determine modifications to make with the available demand sales history to build a more accurate forecast. Communicate with customers and sales for accurate customer provided forecasts. Perform analysis of historical sales versus recent sales trends to pinpoint items needing reviewed with sales. Create and assist in the maintenance of forward warehouse future demand and resolve discrepancies. Conduct monthly demand planning phone calls with sales team members. Review forecast accuracy performance with sales team members. Participate in Sales and Operations Planning partnership meetings. Review weekly cuts report, and accurately identify cuts caused by demand oversells, and review item demand to mitigate shortages. High involvement in sales forecasting for newly launched items needing increased cooperation with sales for accurate demand planning. Communicate with production schedulers to review and approve the running of items requiring additional oversight. Report Generating Publish information based on a set schedule. Reconcile ongoing reporting needs including monthly accuracy totals by salesperson by department. Create reports on an “as needed” basis to highlight important analytical data. Study the results and trends to draw conclusions then discuss recommendations based on findings. Analysis · Analyze recent sales trends in comparison to historical sales data. · Analyze customer and salesperson provided forecasts and provide insights for improving forecast accuracy.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred
2 years experience in customer service, supply chain, production planning
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools for analytical and presentation purposes
Advanced Excel skills required
Proficient in information development from a variety of computer program tools.
Able to ambulate fingers and hands in phone interaction and computer documentation/data entry
Able to sit at a desk in an office environment for long periods of time
