About The Position

SUMMARY: Almo is seeking a skilled Demand Planner to join our team. This critical role involves analyzing sales data and market trends to accurately forecast product demand, optimizing inventory levels, and collaborating with various departments to align supply chain activities with projected demand.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in demand planning or a related field.
• Proficiency in demand planning software and statistical analysis.
• Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant certifications (CPIM, CSCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate forecasts using statistical analysis, historical sales data, and input from sales and marketing teams.
• Model Utilization: Employ forecasting models to predict future demand and adjust as necessary based on market conditions.
• Budget Management: Oversee purchase budgets and analyze cost impacts, including freight costs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to enhance forecast accuracy and inventory optimization.
• S&OP and S&OE Participation: Engage in monthly S&OP meetings and bi-monthly S&OE meetings to review and adjust the 13-week rolling plan.
• Inventory Optimization: Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts or excess stock.
• Trend Analysis: Identify market trends and shifts that could impact demand forecasts.
• Risk Management: Develop strategies to mitigate risks to demand forecasts due to seasonal or economic fluctuations.
• Reporting: Prepare regular reports on forecasts, inventory levels, and other key metrics.
