About The Position

This position will plan the factory to meet customer and inventory requirements, with added focus on efficiency. This includes monthly demand planning with 3-month visibility, monthly production scheduling, and raw material planning with metrics associated to: plant efficiency, inventory targets, scheduling attainment and customer delivery.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred in Supply Chain Management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Must have a positive "can do" attitude
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example
  • Must have Strong analytical skills and very detail oriented

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in manufacturing as scheduler / planner in supply chain organization.
  • Preferred experience with ERP systems with ability to manage S&OP process.
  • Preferred experience in capacity planning, demand planning and inventory management.
  • Proved Efficient in Excel an any scheduling software.

Responsibilities

  • Review all Orders on a daily basis.
  • Utilize orders, forecast and sales history to create 3-month demand plan based on customer requirements, inventory targets, safety stock targets, production lot size and raw material MOQ's.
  • Develop monthly schedule for all lines in production and converting. Schedule based on optimized production wheel, along with customer priority. Measure and report weekly actual vs. scheduled.
  • Manage weekly planning meeting to align resources, PM's, raw materials and customer priorities.
  • Create and maintain capacity planning based on product mix and line utilization.
  • Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes.
  • Create and conduct S&OP meetings monthly.
  • Work directly with supervisors to align resources daily.
  • Work directly with maintenance to manage PM compliance and adjust schedule based on reliability.
  • Provide finished goods availability commitments to customer service as needed and work directly with sales and warehouse to set production priorities.
  • Manage backorders based on metrics to optimize efficiency and meet customer requirements. Set back order target to align with sales and finance.
  • Review and report monthly inventory with specific targets set for each category to align with turn ratio metrics provided by Finance. Work with Finance as needed to align.
  • Develop and maintain tools and processes to achieve all of the above.
  • Work with Purchasing and Process to schedule new and current raw materials, packaging supplies and resolving quality issues.
  • Participate and support projects and process improvements in team environment.
  • Follows prescribed safety and quality policies and regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned
