We are currently recruiting a Demand Planner/Buyer III to join our Inventory team. In this key role, you’ll help ensure the right products are in the right place at the right time by forecasting demand and managing inventory across our distribution centers and branches. As a Demand Planner/Buyer III, you will collaborate closely with internal teams, analyze data to guide purchasing decisions, and strategically plan inventory to support our company-wide operations. Success in this role comes from being proactive, detail‑oriented, and confident using Solar Eclipse software to optimize inventory performance, and the ability provide mentorship to less experienced team members. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of experience in electrical distribution, and 2 years of experience in purchasing.
  • Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of Eclipse software, Microsoft Office software, operating systems and networking.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to design and create presentations as needed.
  • Critical Thinking Skills: Ability to identify long-term opportunities and challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced forecasting methods and tools for demand planning
  • Maintain and update parameters for demand forecasting
  • Leverage all tools available to optimize demand planning and purchasing processes.
  • Assist with order tracking and confirmations
  • Preventing overstock and stockouts
  • Collaborate with Pricing, Sales, Marketing, Warehouse, and Accounting to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Support team goals and objectives through data-driven decisions and buying strategies.
  • Generate, review, and submit purchase orders for all tier level location/suppliers.
  • Monitor and manage normal and specific-need vendor returns.
  • Support and peer-mentor Level I and II teammates.
  • Lead the learning and development of new Level I and II teammates.
  • Other duties as assigned.
