The position is for a Demand Manager in Lafayette, Indiana, with relocation assistance available.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, Engineering or Supply Chain related field from an accredited university.
• Strong Experience in one or more of the following areas: Demand planning, Orders, inventory management, supply chain.
• Ability to communicate confidently and clearly with many different levels of business partners internally and externally.
• Excellent human relations skills to develop collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders and process partners.
• High initiative, flexible and eager to learn.
• Project Management and/or Process Owner experience with strong facilitation skills.
• Creative / Think outside the box / Challenge the status quo attitude.
• High Caterpillar business acumen and understanding.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement and maintain robust forecasting process that delivers projected demand data to the manufacturing units at the level required to achieve sound operational efficiency, meeting customer needs.
• Lead and facilitate the development, deployment, and execution of the monthly Sales and Operations Planning process.
• Work directly with dealers, customers, and internal Cat partners on developing and improving demand and supply planning processes related to Lafayette engine builds.
• Consult on demand signals and inventory planning with relevant business partners to ensure appropriate mitigating actions are taken to meet customer expectations.
• Support projects and processes related to the increased usage and effectiveness of data analytics in the demand planning and S&OP value streams.
• Resolve the often very complex non-reoccurring demand conflict and abnormal demand, coordinating the resolution through sales teams, customers, and manufacturing operations.
• Create and maintain a process for the continuous improvement of customer lead times and adherence to common goals agreements, with full considerations of strategic issues surrounding each customer and product offering.
