About The Position

As a Demand Generation Specialist at OpenGov, you’ll sit at the intersection of content and performance marketing—developing integrated campaigns that generate demand, drive pipeline, and establish OpenGov as the AI and ERP leader for state and local governments. You’ll lead multi-channel campaign execution, collaborate closely with product marketing and other GTM stakeholders, and use data to optimize for results. From drafting emails and briefing designers to launching nurture tracks and measuring campaign ROI, you’ll own the full demand gen lifecycle—with storytelling chops and a performance mindset.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of B2B or B2G marketing experience, ideally in SaaS or a high-growth environment
  • Proven experience developing and executing multi-channel demand gen campaigns
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with examples of campaign or content work that drove results
  • Familiarity with Marketo, Salesforce, and demand gen platforms; experience with ABM tools and AI content platforms (e.g., Mutiny, ChatGPT, Jasper) a plus
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action
  • Strong project management skills with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and energized by a fast-paced environment

  • Experience in or interest in public sector/government marketing is a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Build and launch integrated campaigns across email, paid media, webinars, social, content syndication, and events to drive qualified pipeline for targeted personas and accounts.
  • Create and manage compelling marketing content that supports campaigns—emails, landing pages, webinars, ads, ebooks, customer stories, blogs and more.
  • Leverage AI tools to scale content creation, deliver behavioral personalization, and analyze campaign performance.
  • Partner with product marketing to identify strategic campaign opportunities, align on messaging and positioning, and turn thought leadership, product news and competitive intel into demand-driving programs.
  • Work with marketing operations to segment and nurture audiences using Marketo and Salesforce to engage prospects at every funnel stage and track campaign performance.
  • Own performance reporting, surfacing key insights, learnings, and recommendations to optimize demand strategy.
  • Support ABM campaigns by building and executing personalized programs for high-value accounts.
  • Stay plugged into government and marketing trends, using those insights to craft timely, relevant campaigns that resonate with our ICP.
  • Collaborate across teams, including product marketing, brand and comms, sales development, customer success, and operations to ensure alignment and maximize impact.
