The Demand & Supply Planner plays a critical role in aligning customer demand with supply chain capabilities by analyzing historical sales data, developing forecasts, and optimizing inventory levels. This position is responsible for maintaining forecast accuracy, ensuring product availability, and balancing inventory across the supply chain network in line with service level targets and safety stock requirements. The role requires strong analytical skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with sales, supply chain, and product development teams to ensure seamless demand planning and supply execution. Please note: This is an on-site position located in Loris, SC.

  • Develop and manage a 12-month rolling demand plan/sales forecast for assigned product lines.
  • Participate in collaborative planning sessions with the sales team to align forecasts with business needs.
  • Analyze sales performance by SKU, identifying under- and over-performing products.
  • Track promotional performance to make recommendations for SKU additions, removals, or adjustments.
  • Support supply chain forecasts by analyzing pipeline needs and placing purchase orders (POs).
  • Create POs in Sage and update ETA dates weekly.
  • Follow up on open POs to ensure accuracy and on-time delivery.
  • Anticipate stockouts and develop recovery plans.
  • Conduct weekly forecast container selections to ensure alignment of inventory with demand.
  • Maintain forecasting databases, including POS monthly reporting, China stock, MOO’s, liquidation/kill lists, and China warehouse records.
  • Prepare and publish weekly forecast and inventory update reports.
  • Provide ad hoc data analysis, data pulls, and reporting as needed to support the supply chain team.
  • Collaborate with the Inventory Control Specialist on an as-needed basis.
  • Work with the sales and supply chain teams to coordinate special projects such as promotions and liquidation.
  • Participate in product availability meetings to align supply chain, product development, and sales on new launches, product delays, and availability issues.
  • Attend weekly China video conferences to support international supply chain operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum of 2 years in supply chain management and at least 1 year in forecasting or demand planning. Proven experience in managing demand plans, purchase orders, and inventory optimization within a distribution or manufacturing environment is required. Prior experience with container forecasting, SKU-level analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with sales and supply chain teams is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Advanced certifications in supply chain, forecasting, or demand planning (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) are preferred.
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate sales data and inventory metrics to improve forecast accuracy. Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to present findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level (pivot tables, data modeling, forecasting functions). Experience with Microsoft Access and ERP systems (e.g., Sage) is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of supply chain principles, including demand forecasting, inventory management, purchase order processes, and safety stock planning. Familiarity with sales data analysis, SKU lifecycle management, and promotional performance tracking are required. Understanding of international supply chain coordination, including vendor management and shipping timelines, is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and forecasting/reporting tools. Experience with ERP systems such as Sage, as well as database management systems (Microsoft Access), is required. Familiarity with supply chain planning tools and reporting dashboards is preferred.
