About The Position

The Demand Chain Planner will be responsible for managing the necessary tasks to meet and maintain optimal regional inventory goals. This role is ultimately accountable for achieving the right balance between inventory investment and customer service levels, while directly contributing to the Net Working Capital optimization. To support this objective, the Demand Chain Planner has full ownership of inventory as it relates to the inventory management process, including the identification and resolution of any issues that arise across the planning and execution cycle. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including Customer Service, Logistics, Sales, Finance, and Engineering, to drive continuous improvement in the customer experience. You will provide timely, accurate demand analysis and supply order management to support customer satisfaction, ensuring prompt order acknowledgment and effective use of demand planning systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or 3-5 years related Inventory Management experience preferred.
  • Strong data analysis and problem‑solving skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI
  • Ability to develop and present data‑driven business cases to leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders
  • Demonstrates adaptability in a dynamic and continuously evolving business environment.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively by distinguishing between urgent and important tasks in alignment with business priorities
  • Customer centric approach to all tasks and activities performed.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships in a cross-functional environment.

Nice To Haves

  • ASCM (Association for Supply Chain Management, previously APICS) certification recommended/preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review and manage the fulfillment of large customer orders, ensuring inventory investment decisions align with business priorities.
  • Review unacknowledged customer orders, confirm supply availability, and provide accurate order commitments once supply is secured.
  • Perform and automate Stock Replenishment Ordering.
  • Proactively resolve overdue supplier orders and discrepancies, expediting where necessary to reduce customer order backlog and improve customer experience.
  • Perform ABC analysis and align planning demand & supply planning parameters for stocked SKUs.
  • Maintain SKU‑level forecasts for critical products and manage aggregated forecast deviations as part of the monthly S&OP process.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy by analyzing key bias deviations through standardized reports and correcting abnormal customer order demand.
  • Review and correct demand peaks or low demand to align forecast deviations
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and suppliers to provide timely updates on order status and manage expediting needs, ensuring clear and consistent communication to customers.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Service to understand, analyze, and challenge customer demand signals and trends.
  • Drive S&OE meetings with key supplying factories to follow up on KPIs and agree on improvement actions.
  • Other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Continuous improvement of planning processes and systems (e.g., identifying inefficiencies, automating manual tasks).
  • Identifying supply risks and developing mitigation strategies (e.g., alternate sourcing, safety stock adjustments).
