One of the key technologies under iOps program is FEU, a Machine Learning-based forecasting engine that will ingest large volumes of internal and external data and use advanced ML and AI algorithms to generate Unilever’s volume forecast. The Demand Analytics Planner forms an important bridge between the business users and the data science teams. The role is expected to translate the business problems into functional features that are reflected in the forecast in partnership with the data science team. The purpose of this role is to drive DC-level forecast improvement and issue resolutions around the forecasting process enabled by FEU, by interacting with: • Business Facing category subject matter experts (Market Collaboration Planner & Demand Fulfillment Manager) • Machine Learning Operations & Data Scientist Teams • Forecast Engine Utility Design & Global Support Teams (PACE, UniOps, I&A) Who You Are & What You’ll Do • Provide baselines forecast guidance to Business Facing teams as a critical starting input to monthly S&OP cycle • Understand forecast models for each individual unit, stress test on inputs and perform RCA for issues or improvements • Manage and continually improve item site-level forecast accuracy as part of Demand Analytics routines (daily, weekly, monthly) • Work with Planning Excellence & Insights, One Forecast (DP, S&OP, CD Planning), and Analytics & Insights teams to improve model and suggest upgrades • Keep constant check on forecast quality and take proactive actions if the forecast quality declines • Drive sustainable continuous improvement workstream to tackle cross category phenomena and reduce forecast error What You’ll Need To Succeed
