About The Position

Experienced DeltaV Engineer to join our team in Raleigh, NC. This role involves leading the design, implementation, and project management of large-scale capital automation projects within the Life Sciences industry. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency with Emerson DeltaV systems and possess a strong technical background in designing and delivering cGMP-compliant automation solutions. Candidates should have a proven track record of managing complete project life cycles, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize biopharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Emerson DeltaV systems.
  • Experience in designing cGMP-compliant automation solutions.
  • Strong background in system architecture and control strategy development.
  • Expertise in developing DeltaV graphics and utilizing ISA-101 HMI guidelines.
  • Ability to design and implement industrial networking solutions.
  • Skills in integrating third-party equipment using various protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement DeltaV control systems for complex Life Sciences capital projects.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Lead system architecture development and devise control strategies to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Design batch sequencing, phase logic, and recipe structures to optimize production efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop DeltaV graphics using DeltaV Live and DeltaV Operate in accordance with ISA-101 HMI guidelines.
  • Utilize a class-based approach in design to maximize scalability and standardization across projects.
  • Develop electrical designs, including power distribution, panel layouts, and grounding strategies for automation systems.
  • Specify and procure instrumentation and hardware components.
  • Design and implement industrial networking solutions, including Ethernet/IP, Profibus, and Foundation Fieldbus.
  • Integrate third-party equipment with DeltaV systems using protocols such as OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, and Modbus.
