About The Position

As an Associate Quality Engineer specializing in test automation, you will actively engage in your quality engineering craft, taking a hands-on approach to multiple high-visibility projects. Your expertise will be pivotal in delivering solutions that delight customers and users while also driving tangible value for Deloitte's business investments. You will leverage your quality engineering craftsmanship across multiple quality assurance disciplines and modern frameworks, consistently demonstrating your strong track record in delivering high-quality, outcome-focused solutions. The ideal candidate will be a dependable team player, willing to learn quickly, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy advanced software solutions.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline with a graduation date between May 2025 - December 2025.
  • Exposure to and basic experience with one or more of the following technologies: Playwright, Selenium, and Cucumber.
  • Basic understanding of automation-first techniques such as BDD and Gherkin.
  • Basic understanding of cloud hyper-scalers such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Basic understanding of methodologies & tools such as XP, Lean, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced automation frameworks to drive 'Automation first mindset' using modern tools and technologies.
  • Maintain accountability for the integrity of test design, test automation, their ongoing maintenance and scale, as well as the quality of solutions.
  • Integrate modern tools and techniques into existing testing processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and coverage of automated tests.
  • Develop lean quality engineering solutions through rapid, inexpensive experimentation to solve customer needs.
  • Engage with customers and product teams before, during, and after delivery to ensure the right solution is delivered at the right time.
  • Utilize a leaning-forward approach to navigate complexity and uncertainty, delivering lean, supportable, and maintainable solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with empowered, cross-functional teams including product management, experience, engineering, and delivery.
  • Develop expertise in modern quality engineering practices and principles, including Agile methodologies and DevSecOps.
  • Quickly acquire domain-specific knowledge relevant to the business or product.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts clearly and compellingly.
  • Engage and collaborate with product engineering teams, including customers as needed.
