About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable record.
• Nine (9) months of experience in delivery of equipment and/or supplies.
• Ability to read and write common vocabulary, read maps, and follow directions.
• Ability to drive standard transmission vehicles of all sizes.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize work and coordinate pick up and delivery schedules.
• Load and unload materials for delivery.
• Inspect and weigh material and complete billing tickets.
• Operate motor vehicles for pick up and delivery of materials and/or supplies.
• Communicate special needs or problems and serve as contact person to outside accounts.
• Maintain records as necessary.
• Inspect vehicle to ensure proper functioning, schedule maintenance, and clean vehicle.
• May assign delivery routes to other delivery workers.
• May be responsible for recording employee's time, vacation schedules, and evaluating employees' work performance.
• Perform related duties based on departmental need.
