About The Position
The Delivery Technician is responsible for delivering durable medical equipment to Apria patients in the home. This role involves pulling, packing, delivering, and picking up medications, supplies, and basic equipment. The technician may instruct patients on the basic use of respiratory therapy equipment, durable medical equipment, oxygen equipment, and other equipment/services approved by state licensure limitations. Responsibilities also include loading and unloading durable medical and infusion equipment onto the delivery vehicle, responding to emergency delivery calls, completing necessary paperwork, and maintaining supply components of patient profiles. The technician must notify supervisors of any concerning conditions in the patient's home and may assist with the cleaning and repair of equipment. Routine vehicle maintenance is also part of the job, along with performing other duties as required.
