About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of three years driving history required.
• At least one year of related work experience required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess an active, valid Driver's License at all times.
• Successful completion of Apria Healthcare's Driver Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload medical equipment, oxygen, and supplies onto and off of delivery vehicles.
• Deliver medical equipment to homecare patients, including setting up the equipment and instructing patients on its use.
• Assist patients in solving problems regarding equipment use and pick up medical equipment as needed.
• Communicate estimated arrival times with patients and/or family members to prevent service failures.
• Complete daily delivery logs, pick-up and delivery forms, reimbursement documents, and vehicle maintenance logs.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and daily inspections, reporting any issues to leadership.
• Respond to critical situations during regular business hours and on an on-call basis.
• Comply with traffic laws and regulatory requirements, practicing safe driving habits.
• Adhere to mandatory reporting requirements regarding patient safety and home conditions.
• May assist with scheduling daily deliveries and pickups.
