Requirements

  • Associate's degree a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Continuous desire to improve.
  • 1-2 years of warehousing experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Direct experience supervising drivers and the delivery process.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity and comfort level with warehousing technology. EoStar and Vocalect a plus.
  • Familiarity with routing technology and routing experience. Roadnet is a plus.
  • Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.
  • Basic familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word. Advanced skills are a plus.
  • Understands the concept of FIFO and has slotting experience.
  • Experience working with a unionized crew.
  • Driving experience helpful.
  • CDL A.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the loading of trucks to ensure the accuracy of pallets.
  • Assist in monitoring daily delivery process efficiency, ensuring that all customer delivery windows are met.
  • Support monitoring and reporting on Driver performance relating to both full and partial order refusals.
  • Assist with the delivery route dispatch process when needed.
  • Participate in driving cost control for metrics such as breakage, overtime, refusals and parking violations.
  • Maintain a safe operating environment for all delivery crew, enforcing safety standards and protocol.
  • File incident, accident, and injury investigation reports.
  • Communicate and monitor standards of professionalism for all customer-facing positions and delivery crew in general.
  • Partner across multiple departments to support all driver training initiatives.
  • Acting as a liaison between drivers, sales team, and the customer service department to problem-solve and mitigate delivery headwinds.
