About The Position

The Delivery Specialist is responsible for operating store vehicles to deliver parts and products to professional customers safely and efficiently. This role includes collecting payments on C.O.D. deliveries, picking up customer returns, and ensuring the maintenance and cleanliness of delivery vehicles. Requirements

• Valid state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.
• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate other light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of delivery vehicles, including completing daily inspections.
• Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and collected monies at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock the vehicle at the end of the day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Assist with customer service, stocking, merchandising, and other duties as assigned.
