About The Position

The Delivery Specialist is responsible for maintaining and operating store vehicles to deliver parts and products to professional customers safely and efficiently. This role includes collecting payments on C.O.D. deliveries, picking up customer returns, and ensuring the security and maintenance of delivery vehicles. The position also involves various customer service tasks and supporting store operations as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Familiar with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate other light store equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, and update vehicle mileage.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness of vehicles.
• Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and collected monies at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
• Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to the store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure vehicle at the end of the day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Assist with customer service, general stocking, merchandising, and other duties as assigned.
