About The Position

The Delivery Specialist is responsible for operating store vehicles to deliver parts and products to professional customers safely and efficiently. This role includes collecting payments on C.O.D. deliveries, picking up customer returns, and ensuring the security and maintenance of delivery vehicles. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, highlighting the importance of communication in this position.

Requirements

  • Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
  • Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
  • Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with automotive parts.
  • Ability to operate other light store equipment.
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

  • Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections.
  • Keep vehicles clean and maintained, completing daily vehicle inspections prior to operation.
  • Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and collected monies at all times.
  • Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
  • Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management.
  • Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or vehicle damage to the store manager immediately.
  • Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure vehicle at the end of the day's business.
  • Clock in/out according to company policy.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, general stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, and checking in stock orders.
