About The Position

Deliver parts and/or products to O'Reilly stores and distribution center in a safe and efficient manner. The role involves driving a company vehicle to deliver parts and products, maintaining a daily city route manifest, and ensuring that deliveries are made according to a set schedule. The position requires a legal state driver's license and adherence to company driving eligibility requirements. Responsibilities also include securing the vehicle and its keys, reporting vehicle maintenance needs, and clocking in/out according to company policy.

Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle to deliver parts and products to stores and/or distribution center.
• Pick up and sign for stock transfers at each stop on set route, deliver to appropriate store.
• Maintain daily city route manifest for deliveries.
• Keep fleet/fuel card, vehicle, and keys secure.
• Familiarize with accident report guidelines.
• Ensure designated team member at each store verifies all invoices and signs the route manifest.
• Report any delays to city delivery supervisor and/or stores remaining on route.
• Project a professional and personable image to maintain good customer relations.
• Communicate any problems or special needs from stores to store management.
• Check fluid levels and log mileage prior to operating vehicle each day.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs immediately to store manager.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure vehicle at end of day's business.
