About The Position

The position involves delivering parts and products to O'Reilly stores and distribution centers in a safe and efficient manner. The role requires a legal state driver's license and adherence to company driving eligibility requirements. The driver will maintain a daily route manifest, ensure secure handling of the vehicle and its contents, and communicate effectively with store management regarding any issues or special needs. Requirements

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.

Nice To Haves

• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle to deliver parts and products to stores and/or distribution center.
• Pick up and sign for stock transfers at each stop on set route, delivering to the appropriate store.
• Maintain daily city route manifest for deliveries.
• Keep fleet/fuel card, vehicle, and keys secure.
• Familiarize with accident report guidelines.
• Ensure designated team member at each store verifies all invoices and signs the route manifest.
• Report any delays to the city delivery supervisor and/or stores remaining on route.
• Project a professional and personable image to maintain good customer relations.
• Communicate any problems or special needs from stores to store management.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Check fluid levels and log mileage prior to operating the vehicle each day.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs immediately to the store manager.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure the vehicle at the end of the day's business.
• Drive safely and defensively.
