About The Position

The Delivery Operations Specialist at Carrier is responsible for coordinating and supporting transportation operations processes, ensuring the on-time delivery of shipments within the Carrier Transportation Network. This role involves implementing solutions and process improvements to address shipment and carrier issues, while serving as the point of contact for all functions related to delivery operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years experience in Supply Chain, OR College/Associate's degree with 7 years experience in Supply Chain, OR High School / GED with 10 years experience in Supply Chain.
• 3+ years of experience with Transportation Operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate activities for complex delivery operations at assigned locations.
• Secure expedite capacity and communicate changes to carriers, customers, and vendors.
• Maintain high levels of service with carriers.
• Support and coordinate the execution of transportation projects and system integrations.
• Engage providers during their onboarding with vendor platforms.
• Communicate metric reports, status changes, and improvement opportunities internally and externally.
• Manage the entire shipment lifecycle of truckload shipments for assigned locations.
• Provide information, offer solutions, and drive initiatives for cost reduction opportunities.
• Perform ongoing comparison of logistic models and costs, analyzing freight cost and routing optimization.
• Establish the transportation budget and support market readiness by analyzing current needs and growth.
• Engage in partnership with customer service, procurement, and analytics teams to support transportation planning operations.
• Conduct carrier quarterly business reviews to review key metrics and continuous improvements.
