Here’s an in-depth look at the expectations, physical requirements, and working conditions for this role. Physical Requirements: Stooping/Bending: Forward bending at the waist for tasks like pizza assembly, stocking ingredients, and assisting customers. Requires stooping for 30-45 seconds at a time, repeated throughout the day. Crouching/Squatting: Occasionally necessary for tasks such as cleaning low areas or stocking shelves. Reaching: Frequent and continuous reaching in all directions (up, down, forward). Occasionally reaching above 72 inches to adjust oven controls, update signage, or stock shelves. Frequent forward reaching to clean, handle toppings, or answer phones. Hand Tasks: Eye-hand coordination is essential. Continuous use of hands for tasks like shaping pizza dough, assembling boxes, or handling pizza peels and cutters. Forceful use of forearms, wrists, and hands may be required. Machines, Tools, and Equipment: Use of computers, telephones, calculators, pizza cutters, pizza peels, and other tools required for food preparation and delivery. Driving-Specific Job Duties: Deliver orders by car and to the customer’s door. Hand out flyers or door hangers to promote the business. Physical Demands: Carrying: Deliver pizzas and beverages, often requiring walking or climbing stairs. Driving: Operate a vehicle safely while delivering pizzas within a designated area.
