About The Position
We are seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to join our team at Ace Hardware in Atlanta, GA. The Delivery Driver will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to designated locations in a safe and timely manner. This role is crucial in ensuring that our customers receive their products promptly and in excellent condition. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and will be able to handle the physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting and operating various types of delivery vehicles. In this position, you will be expected to safely and efficiently transport products to customers or businesses for timely delivery. You will load and unload cargo following specific handling procedures, ensuring that all items are secured and protected during transit. Following delivery schedules and routes as assigned is essential, as is providing excellent customer service during deliveries. You will also be responsible for inspecting vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns, maintaining accurate delivery records, and obtaining necessary signatures from customers upon delivery. Additionally, you will adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving and may be required to work in our store stock room or sales floor between deliveries.
