About The Position

The Delivery Driver is primarily responsible for delivering high quality products to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner over established delivery zones. This role involves driving a personal vehicle to deliver items such as beverages, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and supplies to guests, while following all traffic safety laws. The driver will also collect money and information from guests, gather and package delivery orders, inform regular guests of new products or services, prepare items for delivery, verify food orders, and maintain the vehicle to meet safety and cleanliness standards.

Requirements

• Able to follow and carry out instructions via written or oral form.
• Able to solve simple problems.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic operations.
• Understand written or verbal instructions, product labels, receipts, and restaurant menus.
• Able to construct and write simple sentences, numbers, names, and addresses.
• Able to communicate appropriately to crew/management and convey a friendly demeanor towards guests.
• Able to read or follow maps and/or directions.
• Requires a valid state Driver's License and 2 years of driving experience.
• Requires current motor vehicle insurance coverage on personal vehicle used for delivery.
• May require a Food Handler's permit and/or Foodservice Sanitation Certification.

• Previous experience in a delivery role is valued, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Drives personal vehicle to deliver items to guests.
• Follows all traffic safety laws while in transit.
• Collects money and information from guests and makes change if needed.
• Gathers and packages delivery orders for assigned guests.
• Informs regular guests of new products or services and provides promotional materials.
• Prepares items and stocks shelves/racks for delivery.
• Verifies food orders and items to transport to guests.
• Maintains vehicle to meet desired level of safety and cleanliness.
• May pick up or run product between locations if requested by management.
• Performs additional side duties as assigned by management.
